There were no tears on a rainy wedding day for Sonni and Nick. When Sonni and Nick had a rainy wedding day, they didn’t let the rain get them down for their wedding day. It also rained on Sonni. It was Sonni and Nick’s parents’ wedding day, so the tradition had to continue. Good luck, right?

Sonni is originally from SE Missouri, and Nick is from Philadelphia. Sonni moved to Pensacola in 2020 and met Nick a short time later. Both are engineers, and honestly, they didn’t expect much out of their first date since they typically didn’t date people with similar work backgrounds.

The first date lasted over 5 hours; they went out again the next night for 6 more hours and again 2 days later. They felt like they had known each other for years from the beginning.

Nick proposed while they were on vacation in St. Martin & the rest is history.

With a rainy wedding day for them, this did not stop them from embracing it! Sonni and Nick both wore an angel pin of Nick’s grandmother. His grandmother wore an angel pin every day. Nick’s grandmom was not with them at the wedding, but her spirit could be felt.

It was classic, easy-going, and fun dancing away to music provided by 2nd Groove Showband. The Wedding Day energy could only be described as LOVE. Love from their families, their friends, and a new marriage. The day was truly magical and special. It was the best day!

When Sonni + Nick first toured Palafox Wharf, Nick fell in love with the stunning hand-carved wood cocktail bar details. They loved that everything was within walking distance for their guests. To them, it was icing on the cake that the venue was on the water. Thank you, Sonni and Nick, for letting us be a part of your special wedding day!
Sonni and Nick are now with one child and expecting another soon!
